2020 Brizo Luxe Gold – Cheat Sheet

If you’ve been in the market for plumbing fixtures lately, you’ve likely seen the newest and most beautiful finish out…”Luxe Gold” by Brizo. It will stop you in your tracks! See below for the Cheat Sheet with links.

It stands out in a sea of Brushed Nickel, Chrome, Oil Rubbed Bronze and (now) Matte Black. It’s the perfect warm-gold.  It’s not bright brass from the 80s, not even close. They have everything you need for your Kitchen or Bath.

Here’s just a very small sampling…

So, let’s say you’ve decided to use this lovely combination in your home. Amazing! But… you need some things to coordinate with it. Knobs…lights…mirrors… What goes with this gorgeous finish? Brizo makes a few things to coordinate but not much….like one light…seriously.

What coordinates?

You can MIX the finish with other finishes…maybe matte black? That’s a valid option.  But, let’s look at what will actually coordinate with Luxe Gold from other brands. Here are a few of my favorites. Don’t worry, all the links are down below at the bottom of the post.

But wait…

Is This The Same As Delta’s Champagne Bronze?

Before we dive into each of these items above( links are below) let’s address a mistake I almost made.

Is Brizo’s “Luxe Gold” finish interchangeable with Delta’s “Champagne Bronze”? I mean Delta OWNS Brizo…they look similar…they’re probably the same right?

No…no they’re not.

Brizo’s Luxe Gold is lighter, less “gold-y”. Delta’s Champagne Bronze is deeper and would mix easily with standard brass options. (Maybe we’ll cover that in the future!) But for now, let’s stick with

So let’s breakdown that Cheat Sheet. Scroll down for the all the links below!

Hi — my Thomas Somerville showroom designer Will Moser in Maryland, and Virginia TSCO manager Gabe Ali, shared with me the Brizo finishes in brass and black. Brass never left my home so it cannot be “back” (traditionalist spouse) but I have added Chinoiserie from the 1970’s, 1990’s, and more recent imports. Scott Huguely and Linda Rose at National Lumber in Bethesda introduced me to Emtek’s black and gold line — works beautifully with the Brizo as well — and I need to choose door hardware ASAP. I am discovering you through a Brizo search. Choosing new products after this year’s year’s surprise decision to leave our forever home of 30 years and invest in a condo closer to the center of our social and fitness lives. The 1980 building across from our club includes several friends, is next door to a Ritz Carlton development in progress and provides a mature community aging in place. There are transitional design opportunities as well. The warm brass plus black/ebony is perfect. I have already planned to keep my Barbara Barry signature chandelier, crystal lamps, black lacquer baby grand, the above 1970 Henredon octagonal table, 1990 American of Martinsville curios (5), 2015 Ethan Allen chairs. For the walls I chose a popular greige from Benjamin Moore — OC-20 in Aura matte Pale Oak to pair with my go to trim, OC-17, White Dove in satin, and Chantilly Lace, OC-65 for the ceiling in flat. My previous owner gifted me bright yellow gold curtains, and an amazing 18thc. reproduction mirror, to which I will add my Persian carpets (vintage), some sleek little drink tables in gold, black and warm brass, both contemporary and MCM. Thinking the Bosch suite in black or charcoal for appliances, and traditional granite just because solid surface is ridiculously priced. Cabinets? A white stain on light wood — maybe Signature’s White Ash on Birch. Shaker style plus some detail.

  2. Hi – We just purchased hardware from in Brizo’s Luxe Gold and are having a hell of a time figuring out which CR Laurence Shower door hardware color to go with. Right now we are thinking Brushed Bronze but maybe you have different thoughts on what color might be a better match?

    1. Hi Evan,
Thanks so much for reaching out. I am sorry but Im not familiar with the CR finishes. My suggestions would be to order a sample of the 2 finishes and hold them up to the Brizo. You are also welcome to email me sample photos and Im happy to make a suggestion. lorievans4@att.net 🙂
